woven by words...

I admit, I disliked English and grammar in elementary school, junior high, high school, and college.

Diagramming a sentence didn't sound like fun. Learning all the rules was no fun. Adverb. Pronoun. Adjective. Noun. Verb. Preposition. Blah!

Now that you learn all the rules, you learn you can break them. The English language is complicated. I can't imagine learning it as a second language.

Depending on use, some words spelled the same have different meanings.
IE. lead, bass, tear, the list goes on.

And what is up with center & centre?

Despite the above gripes, I still love writing as an art form. There is joy in selecting specific words and weaving them together to paint a picture in your mind's eye.
