Caffeine is a 'drug', a natural stimulator.
Caffeine is a substance chosen by writers who write late at night or early in the morning.
Some writers prefer their caffeine while at a coffee shop with a book, notepad, or laptop.
Others, such as myself, prefer their caffeine in soda pop form. Although, I've been known to hang around a coffee shop or two.
As with many writers & non-writers, I've developed a tolerance for caffeine, but often I can get dehydrated which causes headaches.
(See what wikipedia says about Caffeine.)
In the end, writers need fuel to keep up with extended periods of time writing. The most common fuel (stimulator) is Caffeine. I've been known to have a bowl of cereal from time to time.
Writers: What type of stimulating fuel you find most help fuel while enduring long hours of writing?
