I enjoy books and movies filled with dialogue. It makes the story real. Reading or hearing people talk as they would in any situation, and YOU (the reader or movie watcher) get to observe it.
This is probably a reason I liked "Good Will Hunting" so much - the dialogue was believable.
Writing dialogue becomes tricky sometimes. You don't want too much dialogue; and you don't want too little. What is the "write" balance?
Not only coming up with what your character(s) should say - but making it believable.
Not only that, but punctuation and using "he said/she said" too much or too little can be nerve racking. I remembering wondering if a reader would follow who was talking if I didn't tell them every time.
