Fan Mail

Can you imagine, countless pieces of fan mail addressed to you?

Wouldn't it be nice to pen a book that prompted readers to contact you after they finish it with nothing but praise? Having that kind of response would not only boost the self-confidence, but also help you understand what part(s) of your book they liked so you can be sure you can clone something similar in your next book.

From a marketing point of view, having testimonials is a big plus, not to mention - contacting these 'fans' when your next book comes out is helpful in driving additional sales. Also, their word of mouth is great/free advertising!

Everybody & their dog seems to have a blog these days. If fans blog about your book in a similar fashion to your fan mail - it can spread like wildfire.
