I've been fascinated by life where an observer can over hear/watch a conversation taking place in real-time.
A conversation unscripted.
Words being spoken with by the unique style of the person talking. The person talking not always saying exactly what they want to, even fumbling on words from time to time.
Not perfect, but real.
For the most part, dialogue can be tricky to write. But I think dialogue is a crucial ingredient to any piece of fiction that stands out.
