What would a (fiction) book be without a character. One main person that the reader can attach themselves do and live vicariously through the character's ups and down from the front cover to 'the end'?
What makes some characters memorable?
Is it the problems the characters face that we can relate to?
Is it the joys that the characters experience.
Is it the character traits of the character themselves that we respect?
Is it the dialouge of the character and how that character thinks?
Readers: What character(s) stand out in your memory from the books you've read?
Writers: What techniques do you use to try and attach your reader to your character in such a way that your reader cares for them?
