Internal Dialogue

I've always been fascinated by internal dialogue.

I like giving the reader the ability to read the character's mind and see if his or her internal thoughts match their actions and dialogue.

This fascination helped me pen Left Standing a few years back.

One character asks another a question.
The character "thinks" no, but says, "yes" - or vice versa.

Internal dialouge can sometimes make the best internal conflict.
